About
An independent newsletter on the Arab publishing industry, written from Cairo.
I have spent eight years inside this industry. UnIndexed is the field guide I wanted when I started: how the Arab book market actually works, who decides what gets printed, and where the numbers come from.
What this is
A working field guide, v0. Every issue lives at a stable page, so it can be cited. Back issues work as a reference library, not a feed.
What this is not
Not a trade press release service, and not a ranking. When I do not know a number, I say so.
